Handmade Ceramics and Designer Pizza

‘Così fa Antonino Esposito’ in Via Solferino is at once an American bar, a pizzeria and a concept store. This locale, which opened a few months ago, pays homage to the marvellous Sorrentine landscape, and for the first time will participate in the 2019 Fuorisalone Brera Design Week. Its ‘Così di CASA’ is the perfect marriage of design and cooking in Campania. Here, you can taste the varieties of pizzas of master pizza chef Antonino Esposito, who gives his dough unusual and original forms – as for example the famous frusta sorrentina – and at the same time discover the handmade creations of artist Rosa Linda Acampora. Così di CASA is an invitation to explore the atmosphere of an authentic Sorrentine abode, among design objects and vitamin brush strokes, coastal flavours and perfumes. The common thread is the Mediterranean: colourful and sunny, to be seen, eaten and touched. The centrepiece is the art of Rosa Linda, who creates and decorates greatly evocative ceramics by hand: these are unique pieces of art, worked and painted in broad strokes; neo-pop compositions and interesting decorative elements that remind one of the culinary excellences of her native land. In exhibit will be a selection of plates, pitchers, tiles and ornate ceramic tomato clusters, all with vivid tints: the red of tomatoes, the yellow of lemons and the blue of the Gulf of Sorrento. Refined works that reflect the warm and luminous tonalities of the coast.

The interior design of ‘Così’ carries the signature of Rosa Linda Acampora, artist who has decorated the finest locales of the Sorrentine Peninsola and Capri with her vivid tints. A passion for Mediterranean art is in her work: custom-made ceramics in luminous tonalities of blue, white and red.
